Arvest Bank Announces Gray Hiring

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce it has hired Magan Gray as an associate mortgage in Little Rock.

Gray will be based out of the Arvest branch located at 440 W. Markham in Little Rock, and work closely with the mortgage loan manager Eric Cullum in the generation, evaluation, approval, processing, closing and servicing of real estate loans.

“We are thrilled to add Magan to our mortgage team,” said Cullum, who serves as mortgage loan manager for Arvest in central, northeast and southwest Arkansas. “Her knowledge and expertise will make our team stronger, but more importantly, be a tremendous asset for our customers.”

Gray and her husband, Charles, live in Cabot.

Arvest Bank Hires Parry as Mortgage Lender

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce that Shawna Parry has joined the bank as a mortgage lender. Parry will work out of the Arvest Bank branch in Ashdown and will also serve customers in Nashville and Dierks with their mortgage lending needs.

Parry started her career in banking in 2015. She has experience in retail banking and mortgage lending.

“Shawna is a great asset and will provide a high level of expertise and support to our customers in southwest Arkansas,” said Eric Cullum, mortgage loan manager for Arvest Bank in northeast, central and southwest Arkansas. “We are glad to be able to provide an on-site mortgage lender to our customers in this area and we believe they will notice the advantages of having this resource.”

Parry received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia.

Arvest Foundation Donates $10,000 to Royal Players, Royal Theatre

The Arvest Foundation recently presented Royal Players, Inc., the community theatre group in Benton that manages the city’s historic Royal Theatre, with a donation in the amount of $10,000. The grant will support programming, renovations and maintenance of the theatre.

“We are extremely thankful to the Arvest Foundation for this generous gift and for their appreciation of the impact performing arts has on communities,” said Daphne Shoppach, board member and artistic director of the Royal Players. “This donation will help enhance our upcoming season as we improve both the physical theatre and our programming plans for the future.”

“Arvest realizes that effective support of the communities in which we work requires diversity among the organizations that benefit from our donations, and the arts are an important aspect of our charitable giving,” said Phillip Partain, community bank president of Arvest Bank in Saline County. “This theatre has been a cherished and important centerpiece in this community for almost a century, and we are honored to offer support to contribute to its longevity.”

The original section of the Royal Theatre was built in 1920. It is located at 111 South Market Street in Benton and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Arvest Bank Promotes DeBoer to Commercial Loan Manager

Arvest Bank has promoted Scott DeBoer to commercial loan manager. In this role, DeBoer will develop and manage the bank’s commercial loan portfolio in southwest Arkansas. He previously was a senior vice president of commercial lending for Arvest in the bank’s Hot Springs market. 

DeBoer has 18 years of banking experience, during which he has worked as a private banking officer and a commercial credit officer in addition to his role with Arvest. 

He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate from DePaul University in Chicago and is a certified management accountant. 

DeBoer is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, the Risk Management Association and the Arkansas Bankers Association. He also is a board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Saline County.

Lewis Changes Roles in Little Rock

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce Shelley Lewis has transitioned to the role of commercial banker in Little Rock.

Lewis has 19 years of experience, including stints as a mortgage and consumer lender at Arvest. She is a graduate of the Paul W. Barrett Jr. Graduate School of Banking in Memphis, Tenn. In her new role, Lewis will cultivate deep, mutually beneficial relationships with small and medium-sized business clients in the Little Rock Metro area, and generate, evaluate and approve commercial loans, among other responsibilities.

“Shelley has been with Arvest for 15 years and has an invaluable amount of knowledge to help our customers with their commercial lending needs,” said Marcus Guinn, loan manager for Arvest in Central Arkansas. “I am excited to see her grow in this new role.”

Lewis will be based out of the Arvest branch located at 500 Broadway St. She lives in Little Rock with her husband, Doug, and their son. She is a member of the Junior League of Little Rock, a former board member for the central Arkansas chapter of The Risk Management Association, and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
