The Brand of YOU! Social Media Strategies to Manage Your Online Identity

Your reputation is everything! In this world of word-of-click, most connections start with an online search. Employers, business partners, customers, referrals and even family use Google, Facebook and LinkedIn to look you and/or your business up online. Are you actively managing your brand?

Central Exchange will host the second session of their Small Business Banking series next month! Arvest Bank is proud to support this empowering series with small business leaders throughout our community.

Many small to medium businesses – even lawyers, bankers, financial advisors and insurance professionals who work within regulated industries – have figured out how to include a form of social media in their marketing mix. But understanding the ins and outs of marketing within compliance doesn’t always equal business growth.

Vicki Cannon is a Social Media Marketing Expert and Trainer with more than 25 years in national account marketing, merchandising and sales. She assists clients like you cut through social media chatter; making it her business to find what works for you! Arvest Bank Community Garden: Planting Urban Roots

Thursday, April 19 at 12:00 PM
Category: Arvest Community News

Tucked next to the Arvest Bank on Blue Ridge Blvd in Kansas City, Mo. is a local community garden where Arvest associates work together to create community involvement and empowerment. This urban oasis can be a sigh of relief from the hustle and bustle of everyday life – for both the green thumbed volunteers who till the soil and those who reap the harvest.

The seed for these twelve raised beds was planted in 2014 when we recognized a need for proper access to nutrition and food in the community. Residents in the area have the opportunity to rent a bed, giving access to fresh fruit and vegetables in a community with little green space for growing.

With each season, Arvest is able to harvest an abundant amount of sweet potatoes and tomatoes of which is donated to Raytown Emergency Assistance Program (REAP). Their emergency food pantry strives to provide each family enough food to last two to three weeks. Arvest is proud to partner with REAP to help them meet this need.

Our volunteers have experienced many successful harvest seasons and anticipate this year being no different. This dedicated team of Arvest associates will soon begin preparing for the upcoming growing season.

Have a green thumb? Are you interested in getting involved in a local community garden? Contact us at 913-261-2265 to learn more!
